A beautiful Sajou cross stitch chart showing The Wolf and the Lamb from La Fontaine's Aesops Fables.

The pattern includes two charts, one for working the motif in monochrome, the other for working in colour. The design can be worked in cross stitch or in petit point.

The size of the motif is 90 x 90 points, if sewn onto 32 count embroidery linen the size would be 15 cm square.

Sajou have produced collections of embroidery charts for Perrault's fairy tales, Grimm's fairy Tales and La Fontaine's Aesop's Fables. All are identical in size and can be sewn together to create patchworks and borders.

The pattern chart is A3 size, printed in mat and can be written on should you need to mark any references.

Sajou was created in 1828 by Jaques- Simon Sajou, selling haberdashery for embroidery, tapestry, lace, crochet and weaving. His pattern albums are sought after to this day by collectors worldwide. In 2005 the Sajou brand was purchased and revived by avid collector; Frederique Crestin- Billet. Many of the old designs have been faithfully reproduced and there are some new designs that have been added in the Sajou style.
