A beautiful Sajou Museum and Heritage Collection cross stitch chart showing the crossing of the Couesnon in front of Mont St Michel depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry.

The scene is one in the lead up to the Battle of Hastings. It shows the Norman army sinking into the mud as they crossed the Couesnon. Harold is shown rescuing the Duke of Normandy's soldiers from the quicksand.

The size of the motif is 200 x 89 points, if sewn onto 32 count (12 threads per cm) embroidery linen the size would be 33.5 x 15 cm.

The pattern chart is A3, printed in matt and can be written on should you need to mark any references.

In 2005 the Sajou brand was purchased and revived by avid collector; Frederique Crestin- Billet. Many of the old designs have been faithfully reproduced and there are some new designs that have been added in the Sajou style.
