Classic Sajou wooden embroidery hoops, with a brass screw for tightening and decorated with a small blue Sajou ribbon.

These are the larger size 22-30 cm hoops that Saju produce, which need to be sent as a small parcel. The smaller 10-20 cm hoops can also be found in my shop and these can be sent as a large letter.

To use the hoop, simply pull the embroidery fabric tightly over the smallest circle, place the larger circle
over the top and tighten the screw. The embroidery fabric must be larger than the hoop.
If your fabric is fragile, roll a piece of ribbon or bias over the smallest circle to prevent marking.

This size of the smallest hoop fits perfectly into the Sajou work boxes that I have, perfect for keeping your embroidery project tidy whilst stitching on the go.

Sajou was created in 1828 by Jaques- Simon Sajou, selling haberdashery for embroidery, tapestry, lace, crochet and weaving. His pattern albums are sought after to this day by collectors worldwide. In 2005 the Sajou brand was purchased and revived by avid collector; Frederique Crestin- Billet. Many of the old designs have been faithfully reproduced and there are some new designs that have been added in the Sajou style.
