A pair of antique Irish linen Oxford style pillow cases with hand made bobbin lace inserts and hand embroidery of whitework flowers. There are drawn threads to the edges of the hems.
The pillow cases are entirely hand stitched in construction, the opening to the back has hand worked button holes and hand worked mother of pearl buttons.
The Oxford style hem is to the sides and the bottom of the cases, the top is a simple fold over with out the Oxford hem.
Both pillow cases are in excellent, near mint condition and measure; 96.5 x 53.5 cm/ 38 x 21 inches.
