A lovely Sajou embroidery kit to make a cushion with a silhouette of Versailles Palace, part of Sajou's Museum and Heritage Collection
The Versailles Palace silhouette as seen from the front on arriving at Place d’Armes. The letters are inspired by the “Apollo” typography, the same used in the visual identity of the Palace.
The size of motif is 200 stitches wide by 100 stitches high. When embroidered on 12 count (per cm) linen, the finished project measures 33.3 x 16.7cm.
The size of finished cushion is 40.3 x 23.7cm.
This kit contains:
Full-colour pattern chart printed on A3 sheet of paper;
One 46 x 28cm piece of 12 count embroidery linen, colour off-white;
One 46 x 27cm piece of 100% cotton fabric for the back;
2 cards of Retors du Nord embroidery thread n°2005;
A Sajou Créé par moi label (Made by me).

Sajou was created in 1828 by Jaques- Simon Sajou, selling haberdashery for embroidery, tapestry, lace, crochet and weaving. His pattern albums are sought after to this day by collectors worldwide. In 2005 the Sajou brand was purchased and revived by avid collector; Frederique Crestin- Billet. Many of the old designs have been faithfully reproduced and there are some new designs that have been added in the Sajou style.
