A set of 8 antique fine Irish linen damask napkins with raised whitework hand embroidery set around a cartouche of hand worked filet lace showing the initials N.L.
The napkins are all hand stitched to the edges with a simple border of pulled threads and mitred corners.
The linens came to be having been beautifully starched stored and have not been re laundered. There are a some very faint storage marks to a couple of the napkins as seen in the photos, these will remove with a gentle soak and launder.
The napkins are all in excellent condition and measure; 24.75 x 25.5 inches/ 63 x 65 cm.
