A set of three antique Victorian chair seat covers , all hand embroidered in Berlin woolwork and all with the stitched date 1840, along with the initials and name MA Hinde.
All three of the covers are worked to the same design in upright cross stitch, there is a very slight colour variation to each of the covers which can be noted when all three are side by side, but if mounted will not show.
All the seat covers have been mounted at some point, but none show any signs of use to the embroidery, they are in mint condition.
The measurements of the seat covers (including the ground) are; 68.5 x 52 cm/ 27 x 20.5 inches, the worked area of the seat cover measures; 61.5 x 49.5 cm/ 24.25 (at the widest point) x 19.5 inches.
